The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it really is alarmed in regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services place created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
